What do you use to record your song?

Do you go with an expensive software or you go with a free one? Do you go with the high tech gadget for recording or you go with a low tech ones? There's a lot of gadget nowadays that has something to do with making the audio or music recording process easier. Just like in some countries now, they are now making humanized robots to do the house hold chores for them instead of them doing all those tasks or they have to pay for a real human doing all of it but prone to a lot of mistakes. When the technology bloomed, it took an effect that to the human's behavior and intelligence. When humanized robots comes to reality they took the place of a real human doing it's tasks so the tendency is people will be dependent on what the robots will give them. Why am I taking this as an example? Because this is very related with the topic. This topic has something to do with technology.
A decade or two ago, all of the recording process were hassle. I mean, you have to have all the necessary huge equipments to make a high quality recording. But to be honest, the recording within the era of modern technology is far better than the recording process of the past. High quality recording in the past is just like a garage recording nowadays. Let's take a look and see the difference.

See the the difference? I'm not pointing out the song quality I'm pointing out the "recording quality" of each song which were recorded in different era. The first vodeo were recorded a long time ago using a high tech recording materials during that time and the second video was recorded with just a pc and a microphone because it is just an amateur recording. Now, if you would be asked, which one do you prefer?
